First, an explanation. The list is exactly what it sound like, a list. Of what you ask? well that is a good question. this a a directory of sorts to all of my favorite joints in America (for now) After all what good does it do us to know there is good food out there if we cant find it.
Number 1: Jimmy's Classic Drive in Restaurant.
Located in Grants Pass Oregon, my wife and I stopped here shortly after we were married for lunch and ordered the "Barbie" to share. Needless to say we were both blown away. definitely one of the most incredible burgers i have ever had (Aside from my own of course) definitely stopping here again to check out the rest of there menu.

Number 2: Unfortunately I have not tried the burger as of yet at this next place (Hopefully soon) Its the Burger Bar in Roy Utah. This one makes number two because of there fantastic milk shake I had there, no seriously it was incredible. though i am not sure it really qualifies as a milk shake as it was closer to the consistence of a Blizzard (Never had one? first off, who are you? second go find you nearest Dairy Queen and fix that) anyways back to the shake. I ordered a peach and when it came to me, not only did it have real peach in it, the thing was also piled a god for inches over the top of the cup, and yes it all stayed in place.
Sorry no web address for this one
Number 3: this one has been a favorite of my family for years, and any one else who has driven down I 84 via the cascade locks. And of course been fortunate enough to know about this fun little place. Its called East winds Dinner right off of the main road. Yes they have good burgers, yes they have good fries, but what makes this place stand out is there Ice Cream. At East winds, they know how to do soft serve. Hand made and thrown into a spacial "Flavor Burst" mixer, this treat comes out with Beautiful bands of flavor running in colors up the traditional white steeple of amazingness that is the pinnacle of culinary art. Yes i mean the Ice Cream cone. definitely a place you have to visit.
Number 4; Gator Jack's. its a sandwich shop in Rexburg Idaho. with an incredibly good design, it makes you feel like you have walked right into the bayou, that is of course in addition to having great sandwiches . Plus they also serve rice bowls where one of your meat options is, that's right Alligator. they have other locations so check them out!

Number 5: Grants Pass Pharmacy. I know right, what is a pharmacy doing on a top restaurants list? Well you see this is not just any pharmacy, this is an old fashioned pharmacy, like 1930 pharmacy. you know back when they sold phosphates from the fountain in back. yep that's right this is a genuine Soda fountain where you can buy a Sparkling beverage for 25 cents a pop (pun intended) including flavors like Maple and Chocolate Raspberry.

Number 6: Goodies Soda fountain and Candy shoppe. this was a close contender for fifth, in fact I almost just put them as a tie, but in the end I decided Goodies just didn't have the same atmosphere. Don't let that deter you however because there end product i thought was better. Goodies is a chocolate company based in Bend Oregon, though each of there locations tries something a little different. the one on US 20, is a Soda Fountain. whats so great about it? here i was introduced to one of the greatest concepts for serving soda ever. The Root Beer Cream! essentially Root Beer with Cream mixed in, also try it as a Vanilla Coke. if you do go here I would also recommend there chocolates, after all it is what made them famous.

Number 7: The Woodsmen. Located in Philomath Oregon the Woodsmen is not what you wood expect, When you first walk in you are greeted by the decor of an old saw mill, but when you look at then menu , you get good old Thai cooking! their Mango curry may just be the best mango curry you will ever try in your life, trust me, if you haven't been there you need to check this place out.

Number 8: Marzano's Pizza, Located just south of Canon Beach on the Oregon Coast. this place was a great find. Pizza made the way Pizza is supposed to be made, well according to Americans anyways, seriously the best cheese Pizza I have ever had in my life!

Number 9: Baldy's Barbeque, Baldy's has sevral locations, the one i went to was is in Redmond Oregon and worth every penny I spent there, as a tradition of ours whe we go somewhere new, my wife and I got a sample platter so we could taste everything. it was all good, no fake Barbecue drown in sauce so you cant tell here, Though I should mention there sauce is pretty killer. this place is awsome, not to mention their fried okra.

Number 10: Yeasty Beasty. Found in the College town of Monmouth Oregon just of the Western Oregon University Campus, this place is incredible for mostly just one reason. Daily Specialty Pizzas. I have been here more then a dozen times and never had the same thing twice, Just order today's special and you are guaranteed to get something amazing and unique. The restaurant also just has a great Willamette valley feel that makes it perfect for hanging out and enjoying something new.
